Mirabella shows the journey of a 15-year old girl named Mira who is suffering from discrimination because of her strange wood-like skin.
Despite her appearance, she grew up to be kind, industrious, and obedient because of the love and support given by her foster parents Mimosa/Osang (Pokwang) and Paeng (John Lapus), the best friends of her late mother Daisy (Dimples Romana).
Her real father Alfred (James Blanco), a driven and ambitious womanizer, abandoned Daisy to marry the rich and successful Olive (MyleneDizon), model and heiress of the beauty company Bellisima.
Smart, strong and resilient, Mira’s values are challenged when she falls in love for the first time. The object of her affection is Terrence (Sam Concepcion), the campus heartthrob who is oblivious of her feelings. She is also bullied bythe mean girl Iris (Mika dela Cruz), who happens to be the teen model of Bellisima, and daughter of Alfred and Olive. As Mira longs for Terrence and wishes for his love, she is unaware about her best friend Jeremy (Enrique Gil) and his feelings for her. Jeremy sees beyond Mira’s appearance and has loved her secretly. But he can’t tell her because he knows how Mira loves Terrence. On the night of Mira’s first heartbreak, Mira discovers the magic of a mystical flower that can make her temporarily beautiful. She becomes the vengeful Bella, who seeks to get back at the people who hurt her. Finally experiencing how it feels to be beautiful, Bella learns that what really matters in life are invisible to the eyes -- like true love, forgiveness and purity of the heart.
